巨制证明雄心

时间在探测经典
对于库藏，它们绝对是

“华语诗库”一份难得精要

只是好编辑都贪心

开心这些旧作，也渴望能获新墨

《中国》诗刊还永远候着呢

于是，我私微：“本期《中国》冬刊

已拟定（拟发旧作长诗《抒情》）

10月推出，期待下期季刊刊发李兄

新作，请给我一个首发（傻笑表情包）”

他秒回：“您随意（抱拳表情包）”

What Kind of Poem Is This

.

Recently
I have been hosting and editing
the winter issue of China Poetry Journal,
while also collecting the works
of living Chinese-language poets
for the
“Chinese-language Poets’ Poetry Archive”

Happily
the poet Li Yawei
sent me quite a few treasures

.

There is the famous poem
Chinese Department
and Lyrical Ballad of the Hexi Corridor
winner of the inaugural
Lu Xun Cultural Award
as well as Poems of the Manghan
a representative work
of the Manghan, or “Brutalist,” school—
one of the living fossils
of a certain era in Chinese poetry

.

Such monumental works
prove the ambition of their maker

Time is the one
that tests what becomes a classic

For the archive
these poems are unquestionably
a rare and essential treasure
for the
“Chinese Poetry Archive”

But good editors
are always greedy

I am delighted to have
these old poems
yet I cannot help hoping
for some fresh ink as well

China Poetry Journal
will always be waiting

.

So I sent him a private message

“For this winter issue of China Poetry Journal
(we have already decided
to publish his old long poem
Lyrical Ballad
when the issue comes out in October)

I hope your new poem
will appear in our next quarterly issue

Please give us the honor
of publishing it first

(Smiling foolishly)”

He replied instantly

“Please, do as you wish.”

中國詩社簡介

.

「中國詩社」是2004年10月多位海外華語詩人聯合已故諾貝爾文學獎終審評委馬悅然博士、臺灣華語文學大師余光中教授等師友組建的文學社團。中間因故中斷有年，2026年10月當年參與組建的部分成員在美國重啓詩社，《中國》詩刊是本會會刊，「華語詩人詩集庫」是本會對在世華語詩人詩作的收集典藏。
